ABOUT THE PROGRAM

CMON Play is our outreach program to North American brick and mortar retail stores. We want to have a strong relationship with you, and have created this program specifically with your store in mind. It includes many exclusive products and opportunities designed to bring customers to you and have a great time playing games together.

There are four pillars of the CMON Play program:

Let’s look a little deeper at each one.

GAME NIGHT KITS: Local Game Shops are community centers. People come together from all around the area in order to play games. Game Night Kits are designed to give you a fun-filled event that has exclusive prizes and unique scenarios. Each one is designed to go along with one of CMON’s core games, such as Zombicide: Black Plague, Blood Rage, Potion Explosion, and more. They are packed with prizes like exclusive miniatures, custom dice, and special scenarios to give a new twist on favorite games. These kits are designed to provide support for up to two times the maximum number of players for a game (so, for example, if a game can be played by 2-5 players, there is support in the Game Night Kit for 10 players, along with some extras for the store and the person who runs the event). These events can be promoted in the Stores & Events Locator section of the website.; Stores that run Game Night events will also earn points that can be later redeemed for special CMON rewards.

PRE-RELEASE OPPORTUNITIES: Your customers want to get the latest games as soon as they’re available. For certain titles, CMON will offer pre-release opportunities to our CMON Play retailers. The product will be delivered to your location two weeks before the official release date. This means that you will have a leg-up on other, non-CMON Play retailers, as well as online retailers. You will be seen as the place to get these highly-sought-after titles.

DEMO COPIES OF STANDALONE GAMES: Having happy customers is key in making sure they come back to you when it’s time to buy a new game. Making informed purchases is a great way to make sure your customers are happy. Being part of CMON Play, you can purchase specially-labeled Demo Copies of standalone CMON games. You can then use these copies as a “try it before you buy it” display, or as part of your store’s Game Library. They can also be used as learning aids for your staff, ensuring that they are knowledgeable about the products you carry. As these copies will see lots of use, you can order a new copy of them every year at the discounted price.

CMON KICKSTARTER RETAIL PLEDGES: Along with the pre-release program, we want to make sure your store is seen as the place to get CMON Games. Being a part of CMON Play, you will have access to making Retailer Pledges to our Kickstarter campaigns. This allows you to make the sales of these games to your customers while still getting all of the exclusive products available through Kickstarter. By using the Retail Pledge, you only have to pay a small down-payment of $100 for your order, with the rest not being due until the product ships. This allows you to also offer such a payment plan to your customers, so you can either collect their dues immediately, or letting them pay some now, and the rest later when the product is on the way. We want to help you get the word out about how customers can order through you for these Kickstarters, and will provide banners and posters that you can use on social media, as well as in your store. If you don’t want to participate in the Retail Pledge campaign, you will still be able to order those games later, through regular distribution channels.

STAYING INFORMED: The CMON Play portion of the website will be regularly updated with new products available through the program. We want to make sure you’re informed about all the Game Night Kits, Pre- Release Opportunities, and Kickstarter Retail Pledges that you can order.

JOINING UP AND STAYING IN THE PROGRAM: Joining CMON Play is free.; You can sign up through the email provided at the end of the game’s description page, or reach out to your Asmodee North America or Alliance representative.

Once your information is received, it will be passed along to the CMON Sales team for validation. When your application is approved, you will get an e-mail notification, and your store will be listed in the Stores & Events Locator section of the CMON Play website. When you want to make any orders for products that are part of the program, you can do so through your regular distribution channels.

In order to stay active with CMON Play, all you have to do is take advantage of three opportunities through CMON Play from April 1 st through March 31 st , thus giving you a full year. This can be any combination of purchasing a Game Night Kit, ordering a Demo Copy of a game, taking part in a pre-release opportunity, or ordering through the Retail Pledge of a Kickstarter. So, for example, you could make a Retail Pledge and order two Demo Copies. Or you could order a Game Night Kit, order a Demo Copy of a game, and be part of a pre-release event. Whatever fits best for your store, that’s what you can do. We wanted to make it as easy as possible to stay active.
